- The town of High Level continues to work on the water main break on 101 Ave. at 103 Street.
Residents are being asked to conserve water for the time-being, while the work is being done. - The town of High Level is in the beginning process of being in Election-mode.
Nominations are being accepted for the vacant Councillor position, left open when Jori Zatko resigned in February. - The Northwest is continuing with a Spring Thaw, which is having crews being ready to tackle the melting snow. (Shelley Shannon Interview in separate story)
- The Peace River Art Hub has been awarded an Operating Grant of nearly $17,000 from the Alberta Foundation for the Arts.
- The Provincial Government is investing $1.3 million dollars into restorative justice initiatives in Alberta.
In the Northwest, the Peace River Region Restorative Justice Association will be a benefactor of some funding, pending the passing of the Budget. - Five games in the NHL tonight…
Calgary’s in Colorado, Toronto is in Anaheim, Vancouver is in Las Vegas for the debut of Knights Coach John Tortorella, Pittsburgh is at the Islanders, and St. Louis is in San Jose. - The Toronto Blue Jays start a three-game set tonight at home to Colorado. Cody Ponce starts for the Jays against Tomoyuki Sugano.
- Canada improves to 3-2 at the World Men’s Curling Championship in Utah with a 9-2 win over Poland this morning.
Matt Dunstone plays Japan tonight. - Skies will be bright for the first couple of days this week in the Northwest. Afternoon highs are just below zero, with lows at night being still a little chilly, at around -15.
