rcmp157698

On February 12, 2026, Peace Regional RCMP responded to a vehicle theft outside a business on 99 Avenue in Peace River.

Five days later, on February 17, a Grimshaw resident noticed a suspicious vehicle parked in a back alley and confronted the driver, reporting the incident to RCMP.

Officers confirmed it was the stolen vehicle from February 12.

The driver fled on foot but was located shortly after, thanks to Police Dog Services, local business footage, and community cooperation.

The suspect, 42-year-old Peace River resident Dennis Brandon Campbell, was charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000, causing a disturbance, driving while unauthorized, and driving an uninsured vehicle.

Campbell was remanded in custody and appeared in court on February 18.

Peace Regional RCMP extend their gratitude to the community for their assistance in resolving this case.
