  3. Authorities in Peace River are debating the idea of Downtown Security Cameras.

  4. High Prairie Town Council had a delegation at a recent meeting, with concerns to the old Youth Assessment Center in town.
    Amber Fjeld presented the idea of turning the building into a homeless shelter, complete with treatment and residential service.
  5. The Northland School Division on-line school has received Grant Money to improve access to technology for high school students.
    $10,000 has been earmarked from Canada’s national Teen Tech for Tomorrow program.
  6. A group of First Nations chiefs in Alberta are calling for politicians to show greater respect for treaty rights in the wake of recent events that have stirred up discussion of the province separating from Canada.

    Freezing Rain warnings are up in the Peace for this afternoon, and snow could appear in the Mackenzie and Big Lakes, as well.
    Digits remain between 0 and -5 in the Peace and Big Lakes, and between -5 and -10 in the Mackenzie.
