A proposal to replace Northwestern Polytechnic in Fairview, has been submitted to the Provincial Government.

The Peace River School Division is projecting a decrease in enrollment at small schools in the area for 2026.

The Northland School Division will be looking for a new Superintendent for next year, with Cal Johnson retiring.
- Crews were busy in December with snow removal, as record snowfall hit the Northwest.
The County of Northern Lights says the heaviest snowfall, was between the 6th and 15th, as road crews were in operation for every day in December. -
The Peace Regional SPCA has cleared another hurdle in the process of building a new facility.
Blueprints for the new building have been completed, and will begin the request for Proposal to advance construction shortly. -
The Nuclear Energy Engagement and Advisory Panel is meeting tonight in Peace River to discuss with Government officials for a Town Hall, at the Quality Inn, starting at 6:30.

The Navs will finish second in the East/West Division, while Beaverlodge and Grande Prairie are tied for second in the North/South Division, with less than five games left in the Regular season. - AJHL showcase this afternoon… The Grande Prairie Storm play Drumheller in Edmonton.
The Storm have won five in a row. - Two Canadian teams are in action, as part of a 6-game NHL schedule tonight.
Pittsburgh is in Calgary, and Washington is in Vancouver. - A mix of Sun and Cloud is forecasted this afternoon in the Northwest, but digits are back down to winter values.
Highs are in the minus teens for the next few days, with some times being into the -20’s.
The Big Lakes could see some snow on Saturday.
