The Alberta Serious Incident Response Team has been called in to investigate an injury to a man in custody.
Just before Christmas, a man was brought into the High Level detachment, where during the booking process, the suspect was struck in the face, receiving injuries.
Environment and Climate Change Canada is recording some municipalities had record snowfall and high moisture levels, more than double, triple, and even quadruple the 30-year average.
Even Fort Vermilion made the list, as their December had 245% more moisture recorded than the average, making it the third wettest December on record.
Residents in High Prairie have raised concerns about chloramine in the Town’s drinking water, but Town officials say the water remains safe and continues to meet Health Canada standards.
CAO David Joy says chloramine is used to keep drinking water clean as it moves through the distribution system.
