One person is dead after a collision on Highway 2 near Slave Lake yesterday involving a logging truck and an SUV.
Investigators believe the SUV was travelling westbound when it appeared to have lost control on black ice, crossed into the oncoming lane and collided with the logging truck.
The driver of the SUV, a 19 year old male from Slave Lake, was declared deceased on the scene.
RCMP are continuing their investigation, but road conditions are believed to be a contributing factor in the collision.
