RCMP major crimes is investigating a homicide in the county of Grande Prairie after the public alert that had been issued in the region on Saturday.
Police had responded to reports of a shooting in a rural area near Bezanson early that morning where two people were found dead.
After the alert was issued, the suspect vehicle was located near McLennan where officers were able to take the suspect into custody.
RCMP have charged 42-year-old Curtis Phillip Halladay with two counts of 2nd Degree Murder.
He’ll make a court appearance in Grande Prairie on January 8.
