Among these, 28 drivers received Immediate Roadside Sanction (IRS) FAILS, 13 received IRS WARNS, and six novice commercial drivers were issued IRS ZEROS.

Additionally, officers issued 328 tickets, including five for distracted driving and 54 for speeding.

Twelve injury collisions occurred during the day, but fortunately, no fatalities were reported. Sgt. Darrin Turnbull of Alberta RCMP Traffic emphasized the importance of such enforcement initiatives, stating, “Driving impaired due to drugs or alcohol is never okay and can have devastating consequences. If you suspect an impaired driver, call 911 immediately.”
