Town of Fairview council received an update on the Fairview Health Complex’s CT Scanner Project during its December 2 meeting, outlining progress and funding needs for the long-anticipated initiative.
Stan Burkholder presented the latest details, noting that the CT scanner is projected to be operational in late 2027.
To support the project’s development, the Fairview Health Complex Foundation has launched a fundraising campaign.
The Foundation is requesting contributions from neighbouring municipalities at a rate of $75 to $100 per capita, payable over a three-year period.
In addition to municipal pledges, the campaign is encouraging donations from community members and local organizations to help close the funding gap.
Following the presentation, Fairview Town Council opted to table its decision on municipal funding for the project.
Council will revisit the request at its upcoming December 16 meeting.
