The Peace River Art Club (PRAC) is celebrating a major boost to its operations after receiving a total of $8,230 in grant funding from the Northwestern Alberta Foundation. The funding will directly support the continuation of the Arts Business Coordinator position at the ART HUB, a role essential to the facility’s growth and community impact.

The grants include $4,805 from the Bryden Sparks Arts Family Fund and $3,425 from the Beattie Family Fund, both dedicated to strengthening arts and culture initiatives in the region.

This significant support will enable PRAC to continue building a thriving community of artists and inspiring greater public participation in fine arts and cultural programming. The Arts Business Coordinator is central to these efforts, supporting business operations at the ART HUB and fostering collaboration with local businesses, organizations, and community groups through coordinated communications, promotions, and marketing.

The successful grant proposal was prepared and submitted by PRAC’s dedicated Funding Team: Audrey DeWitt, MaryAnne O’Byrne, and Dana Laliberte.

“Securing this funding is a huge success for the Art Club,” said Dana Laliberte, PRAC Vice President and Funding Team member. “It validates the hard work of our team and ensures we can continue growing the ART HUB.”

PRAC President Dianne Ireland expressed appreciation for the foundation’s continued support. “We are incredibly grateful to the Northwestern Alberta Foundation Board of Directors and the Selection Committee for this opportunity. This funding ensures the ART HUB can continue to grow as a vibrant cultural and business centre for the Peace River region.”
