  1. Fairview RCMP have a resident in custody on drugs and stolen property charges. 26 year-old Devin Donald Reardon of Fairview appears in court in December.
  2. Blockades are continuing along Hwy 58 at entry points to forestry operations in the John D’Or Prairie area.
  3. The Shaftesbury Ferry will be having their last day of service for the season tomorrow, and will be shut down on Friday.
  4. More than 70 municipalities and 5 First nations have had mapping completed since COVID, and more terrain is being scoped.
  5. 14 UCP MLA’s who have had Recall petitions filed against them.
  6. Some International Hockey coming to the Peace Region, with the Para Cup happening next week in Dawson Creek. (Greg Westlake interview in separate story)
  7. The final day of the Canadian Olympic Curling trials is today in Halifax. Nampa’s Kayla Skrlik needs a win, plus a LOT of help to make the playoff round.
  8. NWJHL tonight… North Peace is in Fairview. The Navs are 9-8-3, the Flyers are 4-17-1.
  9. Six Canadian teams are in action in the NHL tonight.
    Calgary is in Tampa Bay, Winnipeg is in Washington, Toronto is in Columbus, Montreal is in Utah, Ottawa is in Las Vegas, and Vancouver is in Anaheim.
  10. Cloud cover dominates the skies of Northwestern Alberta this afternoon, although you might see the odd sunny break in the Big Lakes.
    Highs are around -9, with lows tonight not changing much from today’s high. A couple of centimetres of snow is expected tonight in the Peace and Mackenzie.
    Conditions clear out and cool off a little by tomorrow.
