- Hundreds of delegates from across Alberta are in Calgary for the Alberta Municipalities 2025 Convention and Trade Show.
Councillors, mayors, and other public officials will take courses, network, and more. - The Town of High Level recently honoured some of their long-time staff for years of dedicated service.
- Deadlines are coming up to register for the annual Senior’s Health and Wellness Fair in Peace River.
Registration is through the town, with the Fair being next Thursday afternoon at the Chateau Nova. - Registration is continuing for the Farm-focused Mental Health Workshops coming to the area.
Two events are happening: One on Monday, November 24 in Manning, and the other on Saturday November 29 in Berwyn. - Mediation resumed yesterday between Alberta Health Services and the Health Sciences Association of Alberta, which represents paramedics, laboratory technologists, pharmacists and more.
- The NWJHL is out with their weekly star awards.
Colin McCreight of Grande Prairie is the North-South Division winner, while Maddow Pierce of Dawson Creek is the East-West Division winner.
Notable games this weekend include Fairview in FSJ on Friday and Peace River on Saturday, while North Peace plays in FSJ on Sunday afternoon. - Five Canadian teams are in action in the NHL tonight. Edmonto is in Columbus, San Jose is in Calgary, Winnipeg is in Seattle, Boston is in Ottawa, and Dallas is in Montreal.
- The NFL Thursday-nighter tonight is the Jets in New England. The Jets are 2-7, the Patriots are 8-2.
- The Peace and Big Lakes will get snow off and on this aftyernoon and then will clear out and cool down by tomorrow.
The Mackenzie is getting 10-15 cm of snow today and tonight, and then clear out and cool down for tomorrow.
Highs this afternoon will be around zero, with lows tonight between -5 and -10. The Peace and Mackenzie will continue getting snow this weekend.
