- RCMP in Fox Lake are reporting that 22 year-old Josh Nanooch has been located deceased.
Nanooch was reported missing on October 25, and was last seen on October 21 in the Hamlet. - Grande Prairie MP Chris Warkentin has spoken out against the federal government’s budget.
With a projected deficit of $78 billion, he says the budget is “out of touch with the realities of Canadians.” - Officials at Canada Post have offered suggestions and plans to the federal government, to turn the struggling business into financial success.
CEO Doug Ettinger said in a statement the plan would modernize the post office while protecting a service Canadians rely on. - Canada has lost its elimination status on the Measles outbreak.
The strain has continued to spread over the past year, thus surpassing the limit for maintaining elimination status. - Holiday sweet-teeth are being presented next week at Tim Hortons. Holiday Smile Cookie week takes place, with a different look to the treats.

The show reached G4 status during the night, which is one of the strongest aurora events witnessed in recent years. - After being halted by the teacher’s strike, local high school football action will return this week.
The Peace River Pioneers will face Millwoods Christian from Edmonton on Saturday. Valleyview will also play this week, they’re facing #3 ranked Wainwright. - Four games in the NHL tonight… Edmonton is in Philidelphia, the Rangers are in Tampa Bay, Buffalo is in Utah, and New Jersey is in Chicago.
- Meanwhile, there’s some growing concerns about the main area that will be used for the hockey games at the Olympics in Milan, Italy.
The venue is behind schedule on its construction although officials say it will be ready for the games.
The Women’s tournament will start February 5, while the Men’s tournament (which will include NHL players) will start February 11. - This afternoon won’t be too bad, but the snow will start falling tonight in the Peace, tomorrow in the Mackenzie, and tomorrow night and into Friday in the Big Lakes.
Highs this afternoon will be around zero, with lows tonight being at, or just below -5. Temperatures also start cooling off a little, heading into the weekend.
