The holidays are coming up and unfortunately with today’s economy, people are needing to be extra vigilant with concerns to scams, even in the Agriculture Industry.
Northern Sunrise County is doing their part by presenting a Scam Alert presentation on Tuesday November 4th, 6:30pm at the Culture Center in St. Isadore.
The event features speaker Julie Matthews, who gives tips on spotting and avoiding scams, to gain insights into how scammers operate, to receive guidance on safeguarding your personal and financial information, and to learn strategies for staying vigilant in the digital age.
Organizers are saying that even rural and farm scams happen on occasion, and the trick is to recognize the idealogies of a scam, either by e-mail, by phone, or by other means.
The Director of Community Services with Northern Sunrise County, is Amber Houle.
