The campaign emphasizes the continuous commitment to safety by students, bus drivers, parents, and the community.
A key focus is the “danger zone”—the area immediately surrounding the bus where visibility is limited.
Students are urged to stay at least 10 feet away from the bus and to cross only when signaled by the driver.
In Alberta, efforts to address the school bus driver shortage include removing the mandatory entry-level training requirement for Class 2 licenses, aiming to streamline the hiring process while maintaining safety standards.
