- Peace Regional Police has a person in custody after a shooting incident in Little Buffalo.
22 year-old Isaiah Whitehead of Little Buffalo was arrested and charged. - Peace Regional RCMP have two in custody in relation to a B&E to a residence in Peace River.
While en-route, the cops noticed a person matching a description given, and 33 year-old Dwayne Gabriel Sawan of Peace River was arrested.
The second person, 46 year-old Draper Nelson Laboucan of Cadotte Lake, was apprehended later in the day, after he tried to escape an initial arrest. - Peace River-Westlock MP Arnold Viersen is lobbying the federal Government to get a deal on Softwood Lumber.
This after a 10% increase on the product tariff, and a 25% increase on Canadian wood products. - 18 organizations across Alberta are receiving grant money to support and empower survivors of gender-based violence.
