- Peace Regional Police are looking for information into the fire at the Belle Petroleum Center last week.
Authorities are deeming the fire to be suspicious, but no suspects have been seen in footage obtained thus far. - Jurisdictions across Northwestern Alberta are conducting Municipal Elections today.
When polls close, Trending 55 will go to work to keep people up-to-date with results as they come in. - With the Teachers Job Action still underway, November diploma exams are now optional for students.
The Provincial Government says students can still write the exams, however if they don’t, courses can still be completed, and graduate on time. - The Alberta Teachers Association has rejected the government’s proposal for enhanced mediation.
The offer further enhances the chances of Teachers being legislated back to work. - The major crops in the Peace Region are in the Bin, which is well ahead of the 5 and 10-year averages.
Specifically, Dry Peas, Spring Wheat and Barley are completely finished, while Oats and Canola is basically finished. - MLB playoffs tonight… Game 7, Seattle is in Toronto with Shane Bieber starting for the Jays against George Kirby. The Winner plays the LA Dodgers in the World Series.
