Favorable hot, dry weather in late summer and fall accelerated the harvest.
In the Peace Region, dry peas, spring wheat, and barley are fully harvested, while canola and oats exceed 99% completion.
Sub-surface soil moisture is rated at 12% poor, 59% fair, and 30% good, with no areas rated excellent or excessive.
Forage reserves are 69% adequate to surplus, and feed grain reserves stand at 76%.
