On Monday, October 13, 2025, at approximately 3:45 a.m., the Peace River Fire Department responded to a structure fire at the old Belle Centre, located at 94 Street and 95 Avenue.
Upon arrival, firefighters observed smoke emanating from the roof and flames visible through an open door and the ceiling.
An initial interior attack was attempted; however, due to intense heat and the roof’s instability, crews withdrew and adopted defensive tactics, directing hose streams into the building.
The fire spread to the south portion of the building and the east-side entry vestibule, which became unstable and was subsequently removed to enhance firefighting efforts.
The vacant building sustained extensive heat, smoke, and fire damage, rendering the roof unstable.
Fire crews remained on scene for 11 hours. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
