At a recent Grimshaw Town council meeting, Staff Sergeant Lacey Blair introduced Sergeant Brennan Willenborg and provided a policing update.
Rates in the area have declined, and the RCMP continues to engage with local schools and the community, with “Coffee with a Cop” sessions set to begin soon.
Residents are to report any suspicious activity.
Starting next week, the detachment will add a police dog service and will advocate for additional resources and staffing.
Council expressed appreciation for the RCMP’s presence at summer events, including the Harvest Moon Festival, North Peace Stampede, and Canada Day celebrations.
