
The Harvest season is continuing in the Peace Region at a rapid pace.
Nearly half of the crop is in the Bin in the area, even though conditions have been less than ideal, as farmers and producers have been dealing with drought, lack of moisture and pests for much of the summer.
Jurisdictions have declared Agriculture Disasters for both crop producers and livestock producers, making conditions tough for the maximum yield to be salvaged.
Funding has come to producers from insurance, and both the provincial and federal governments, as officials say the Ag. industry needs to be at the forefront of the economy.
At this point, producers are begging for a moisture-filled winter to make up for the sub-par growing conditions that enhabited the 2025 campaign.
