The Peace River Food Bank’s silent auction is underway, and organizers are encouraging the community to place their bids and support local families in need.
The auction is being held on Facebook in the “Peace River Food Bank Silent Auction” group.
Running from September 14 to 19, the online auction features over 100 items generously donated by local businesses and community members. Items up for bid include oil changes, accommodations and meals, hockey tickets, gift certificates, and much more.
The fundraiser comes at a critical time. The Peace River Food Bank has been especially busy, with a notable increase in usage as more individuals and families turn to them for support.
Funds raised will go directly toward restocking shelves and helping the Food Bank continue to meet the growing demand in the region.
