On August 31, 2025, at 2:00 AM, Peace Regional RCMP officers on proactive patrol in downtown Peace River noticed a spray-painted bicycle propped against a building in an alleyway.
Upon further inspection, they discovered 30-year-old Olen Rayne Letendre of Loon Lake, Alberta, sleeping nearby.
Letendre was found to have multiple outstanding warrants, including break and enter, taking a motor vehicle without consent, and several counts of failing to comply with conditions and probation, issued from Peace River and Red Earth Creek.
He was brought before a Justice of the Peace, released on the Peace River warrants with a court date set for September 15, 2025, and remanded for the Red Earth Creek warrants.
The Peace Regional RCMP is seeking public assistance in identifying any suspicious activity or crimes in the area. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Peace Regional RCMP.
