Mackenzie County has lifted Stage 2 water rationing measures for the community of La Crete, following the return of regular operations at the La Crete Water Treatment Plant.
The County confirmed Wednesday that water consumption levels have now stabilized and returned to forecasted norms, allowing for the removal of previous restrictions.
“There are currently no water restrictions in place,” the County said in a public statement. “We thank everyone for their patience and conservation efforts during this time.”
The Stage 2 water restrictions were implemented in response to high water usage and difficulty in the treatment facility keeping up with demand.
Now, with operations back on track, County officials say the community can resume typical water usage.
