Parents in the Peace Region are trying to keep an eye on what’s going on with teachers, thanks to pending job action that may affect Back to School.
August 26 is the start of formal mediation, between the Teachers Employer Bargaining Association, and the Alberta Teachers Association.
A strike authorization was passed back in June, giving a 120-day window to initiate Job Action, that could be a strike, a lockout, or a work-to-rule campaign.
The mediation process is expected to last throughout the week.
