Recent rainfall across Alberta has provided much-needed relief to late-seeded crops like canola and oats.
Harvesting is progressing well with major crops 6% complete—dry peas leading at 16%, followed by barley at 9%.
This is ahead of the five- and ten-year averages of 2%.
Soil moisture conditions have also improved, with good to excellent levels now at 51%, up from 32% last week.
