Alberta Justice has sentenced 32-year-old Christopher Valin to 90 days in jail after he pleaded guilty to fleeing a peace officer.
The incident occurred on March 13, 2024, during an RCMP crime reduction blitz in Grimshaw, when a suspect sped away from an attempted traffic stop.
Surveillance officers later located the vehicle and arrested him.
In a separate case, Valin faces a second-degree murder charge after a body was discovered in a remote area near Fairview on May 25, 2024.
A preliminary hearing for this charge is scheduled for March.
