Mayor Donna Buchinski of Falher has been appointed Chair of Alberta’s newly established Regional Health Advisory Council 3.
This aims to amplify the voices of rural and northern communities in health care planning and delivery.
Council 3 encompasses the northwestern region, including Grande Prairie and Peace River, extending from Keg River in the north to Grande Cache in the south, and from the British Columbia border eastward to McLennan and beyond.
It includes several First Nations communities, such as the Lubicon Lake Band and Sturgeon Lake Cree.
Mayor Buchinski’s extensive community leadership positions her as a strong advocate for the region’s health care needs.
Residents are encouraged to share their health care concerns and ideas to help shape the future of health services in Alberta.
