The research is continuing, and the Provincial Government is providing financial aid to keep it going.
Agri-research grants were provided to four organizations in the Peace region, which included SARDA Ag. Research in Donnelly.
$3.2 million dollars, in a one-time grant, went to twelve organizations across the Province, to help extend the life of facilities, infrastructure, and equipment.
The Grant money went to The Mackenzie Applied Research Association in Fort Vermilion, The North Peace Applied Research Association in Manning, The Peace Country Beef and Forage Association in Fairview, and SARDA Ag. Research.
Officials are knowing that every little bit helps, and in the case of SARDA, expansion of facilities to house research equipment is the main use of this allotment.
