Big Lakes County Council has approved $160,000 to enhance childcare services in High Prairie and Kinuso.
During the June 11, 2025, Regular Council Meeting, the Council allocated $80,000 to the Kinuso Childcare Society for the startup of a new licensed facility set to open by September 2025, and $75,000 to the Big Lakes Child Care Society to assist in acquiring the Safe Haven Day Care in High Prairie.
Reeve Tyler Airth emphasized the importance of accessible childcare for community growth and well-being, expressing pride in supporting these local initiatives led by dedicated residents.
