The Government of Alberta is looking into the effects of cannabis on individuals aged 25 and under.
Mental Health and Addictions Minister Dan Williams announced yesterday that they’re providing roughly $280,000 for a research project with drug policy and brain development experts.
The move comes five years after cannabis was legalized federally, making it more accessible for Canadians once they turn 18.
Williams says the panel will assess the academic research and information available.
