On April 1st, Chief Medical Officer of Health Doctor Deena Hinshaw confirmed 117 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of cases in the province to 871.
There are currently 51 cases of COVID-19 in the north zone.
There are currently 41 Albertans in the hospital from COVID-19, with 14 in the ICU.
11 Albertans have now died from COVID-19, including a male in his 80’s in the Northern Zone
Hinshaw has also reported that 142 people have recovered from the virus.
To help slow spread or ease fear of catching COVID-19, the government recommends washing one’s hands for at least 20 seconds, and to avoid touching the face.
