Two People Charged After Hit And Run In Fort Vermilion

RCMP officers in Fort Vermilion have laid charges against two people wanted in a hit and run with a pedestrian.

Police received a report on Sunday morning of a male lying in the parking lot of the Tall Cree Gas Station requesting medical assistance.

The victim was severely injured and officers believe that the man was run over by a vehicle.

They have arrested two people in connection to this incident.

Matthew Fehr (22) of La Crete has been charged with the following:
· Aggravated Assault
· Dangerous Operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm
· Failure to stop after an accident resulting in bodily harm

Lori Ann Mitchell (26) of Fort Vermilion has been charged with the following:
· Aggravated Assault
· Dangerous Operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm
· Failure to stop after an accident resulting in bodily harm

Both suspects will appear in Fort Vermilion Provincial Court on May 19.
