Wembly man facing new charges after RCMP recovers weapons

BEAVERLODGE — A man from Wembly is now facing multiple charges after breaching his probation.

During their routine patrol of 10th street in Beaverlodge, on March 24th at approximately one o’clock in the afternoon RCMP would spot vehicle containing a male suspect in breach of his probation.

The officers would proceed to stop the vehicle and the lone male suspect would be arrested, however police would then discover much more. Upon a routine search of the vehicle, RCMP would then discover a total of five knives hidden inside the suspect’s car.

74-year-old William Alexander Logan of Wembly has been charged with two counts of breaching probation, and five counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Logan was originally released after his first court appearance in March, and is now set to appear in Grande Prairie Provincial Court on April 15th, 2019.
