Toys for Tots Campaign Continues at Peace River Broadcasting

The Annual Toys for Tots Campaign continues at the Peace River Broadcasting studios.

For more than five decades, the station has been taking donations of toys, cash and non-perishable food items, which all go to the Peace River Salvation Army.

This year, Major Grayling Crites from the Salvation Army says that there is a great need for items in the teenage category.

“We ran right out of items for teenagers last year,” said Major Crites. “They’ve always been a hard one to buy for, as we never really know what they really want.

“One thing that’s very handy for this age group is gift cards,” he continued. “Last year, we also received a lot of free movie tickets for this group from River City Cinema as well.”

Donations will be taken until 7 PM. After which, all the donations will be taken straight to the Salvation Army building on Peace River’s North Side, near the Peace Regional Pool.
