The Town of High Prairie is requesting a deadline extension for their audit.
The request was made by Noel Chin of the Metrix Group LLP, after finding outstanding issues with the Recreation Board Audit.
The province requires these consolidated reports from the Recreation Society, Library, and Waste Authority.
Some of the issues still needing attention included the sale of the Recreation’s assets to the Town last September, vacation accrual, unreconciled bank reconciliations, and unreconciled sub ledger & general ledgers of society.
The request was officially submitted by the Town of High Prairie CAO Brian Martinson, and approved by council.
They are seeking an extension from April 30th to May 31st, as suggested by Chin.
