Alberta RCMP conducted enforcement initiatives across the province focused on tackling speeding offences over the long weekend, and the numbers have been released.

From August 30 to September 2, 2019, RCMP in Alberta responded to 226 motor vehicle collisions, 27 of which resulted in injuries.

With children returning to school, it is especially important to be mindful of the posted signage and make sure you are not driving over the speed limit.

The Alberta RCMP will continue to work with Alberta Sheriffs and other law enforcement and safety partners to ensure Albertans are making the right driving decisions.
