The Carry the Cause fundraiser at River Country and KIX FM raised a total of $5432 for the Canadian Cancer Society.
Over the months of October and November, in partnership with multiple sponsors, both stations were giving out commemorative bags in exchange for a $10 donation to the Canadian Cancer Society.
The bags were also available at Big Lakes Dodge in High Prairie, and Ellen’s Selling at the Royal LePage Realty office in Fairview.
Additionally, each donation gained the donator an entry for an overnight stay at the Wild Rose Guest House in Peace River, or a chance at a $50 gift card to No Frills.
Both stations also did some on-location events during the two months, they were at the Freson Bros. in Peace River, the Peace Country Co-Ops in Peace River and Grimshaw and the Peace River Canadian Tire.
100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Canadian Cancer Society.
Both KIX and Rivercountry thank all partners in promotion of the fundraiser, as without their support, the fundraiser “would not be possible”.
