This week we got a couple high profile movie trailers released including No Time to Die, Black Widow and Mulan. There was a belief we would get a new Wonder Woman 1984 trailer, but as of now that did not occur. These two movies will more than likely win their opening box office weekends as you would imagine.
First up is the Black Widow trailer, which will take place in between Civil War and Infinity War in the Marvel time line. The movie will have characters like Taskmaster, Red Guardian, and different Black Widow monikers, and even Tony Stark. You will see Scarlett Johansson reprise her role, and will see big names like David Harbour, Rachel Weisz and up and comer Florence Pugh in the cast, with Robert Downey Jr. in the role of Tony Stark. It is set to be released May 1, 2020.
Next up is the latest James Bond movie, which will likely be Daniel Craig’s last outing as 007, with No Time to Die. The premise is… James Bond has left active service when his friend, the CIA officer Felix Leiter, enlists his help in the search for a missing scientist. When it becomes apparent that the scientist was abducted, Bond must confront a danger the likes of which the world has never seen before. You will see Rami Malek portray the villain Safin, and you will see Christoph Waltz reprise his role as Blofeld with many of the cast from the last few Bond films returning to their roles. No Time to Die is set to be released April 8, 2020 in North America.
The final big name trailer to be released this week was Disney’s Mulan. The movie is a live action remake of the animated feature from 1998, though will not feature many of the notable songs or the character of Mushi. The premise is When the Emperor of China issues a decree that one man per family must serve in the Imperial Chinese Army to defend the country from Huns, Hua Mulan, the eldest daughter of an honored warrior, steps in to take the place of her ailing father. She is spirited, determined and quick on her feet. Disguised as a man by the name of Hua Jun, she is tested every step of the way and must harness her innermost strength and embrace her true potential. It is set to be released March 27, 2020.
