The Municipal District of Greenview is putting its support behind three charitable organizations.
At its January 13 meeting, council approved a $2,700 sponsorship of the 10th Annual STARS Hangar Dance, which will be held at Evergreen Park in Grade Prairie on Saturday.
STARS is a not-for-profit organization that provides air transport to hospitals for patients in a critical situation.
Big Lakes County also donated $25,000 to STARS earlier this month.
At the same meeting, council also donated $2353 to Ronald McDonald House and the Kids with Cancer Society as well.
The funds were raised by both Council and staff at the staff Christmas luncheons held in Grande Cache and Valleyview before the Christmas break.
