Man from Whitefish Lake facing 24 charges after allegedly attempting to flee police

A 24-year old man from Whitefish Lake First Nation is facing 24 charges after being arrested on a Canada-wide warrant.

The High Prairie RCMP says it found Jericho Boyd Grey on February 12 and attempted a traffic-stop before he allegedly fled from police to a residence in Whitefish Lake.

Officers found Grey shortly thereafter and he was taken into custody without incident.

Below is a list of all the charges and none of these have been proven in court.

  • Assault with a weapon
  • Assault
  • Flight from police (x3)
  • Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle (x2)
  • Forcible confinement
  • Obstructing a peace officer (x2)
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm(x3)
  • Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose(x3)
  • Unsafe storage of firearm (x3)
  • Possession of a restricted firearm
  • Possession of a weapon contrary to order (x2)
  • Possession of stolen property exceeding $5,000
  • Possession of a controlled substance(methamphetamine)

He will be in provincial court in High Prairie on March 9.
