High Prairie officials investigating possible water damage to three separate arenas

HIGH PRAIRIE — Three sports arenas/recreational complexes in the Town of High Prairie are being suspected of water damage, according to High Prairie council.

At their regular council meeting on April 9th, council moved to direct administration to have the High Prairie Sports Palace, Gordon Buchanan Centre and Curling Rink all inspected by a Structural Engineer to assess the potential damage caused by water seepage.

In addition to this, council would also move to have town administration collect samples from the flooring upstairs in the mezzanine located in the High Prairie Sports Palace to test for mold. The Sports Palace is the home of the NPHL’s High Prairie Regals.

Results of inspection of the three buildings will be brought forward at tonight’s High Prairie town council meeting, with updates to be provided once new information is available.
